There are so many places to find cheap Disney World packages. The Walt Disney World official website often displays one or two special offers at any given time. Simply go to their homepage and look for anything that looks like a special deal and click on it. That will take you to another page on the site that displays one or more deals.

You have to be prepared if you're looking for special DisneyWorld deals on the official website, though, as many times they'll only list them 2-3 months in advance, and many people prefer to book their vacations 6 months to a year in advance. The great thing about booking your Walt Disney World vacation directly through the Walt Disney Company is that if you book your vacation at a higher price, and then find a better deal, you can cancel your previous vacation and re-book it at the lower price, usually without any fees as long as you allow enough time between making the change and the actual time of arrival.

Many organizations offer cheap Disney World packages as well. AAA offers discounts on Walt Disney World hotel rates (though you have to look elsewhere for discount Disney World tickets), at approximately 10% off per night. The amount varies depending on which level of hotel you stay at (Deluxe, Moderate, or Value), what time of year you travel, and so on. You can book directly through AAA if you're booking the whole Disney World package through them, or through Disney World directly and mention that you're a AAA member, or other association that offers discounts.

Naturally, booking your Disney World vacation during the value season will save you a lot of money right off the bat. Many people can only travel over the summer or during holidays, which naturally drives the price of a Disney World vacation up dramatically. It's sad to say, but the worse the economy is, the better it is for traveling to Walt Disney World as more discounts than usual can be had. If your wallet corresponds with the economy, this may not be useful, but if your income remains steady, it's a great time to take advantage of the special deals and offers.

There are a good deal of travel agencies who specialize in Walt Disney World vacation, and you can get cheap Disney World packages through them as well as through other places. Even if you can't get a special rate through these travel agencies, many offer great bonuses, such as Disney World coupons for things like mini-golf and free games at the hotel arcade, or even collectible Disney pins to trade at the parks. Check them out carefully before booking to make sure that they're a legitimate company and so that there aren't any surprises in your final bill.

A regular travel agency can save you a lot of money in airfare, train tickets, car rentals, and so on, though they may not be able to get you special rates for the hotels or discounted tickets. You can also save money by booking your flight/rental through one of the popular cut rate travel sites that are so prevalent on the internet.

Disney also offers a great meal program called the Disney Dining Plan. Using the Disney Dining Plan can save you approximately $30 a day per person. There are currently two versions of the DDP being offered. One gives you 1 snack, 1 counter service (think fast food), and 1 table service (think actual restaurant) meals, and the other gives you 1 snack and 2 counter service meals. Naturally, the second version will save you less money, but it will also cost less. And there's at least one creative counter service restaurant in each park that will save you the boredom of nothing but hamburgers and hot dogs. The meal credits also work in the Walt Disney World hotels, and there are always creative and tasty meals to be had in the hotel restaurants and food courts.

There are so many ways to save money at Walt Disney World, and whether you book your vacation through one source, or cobble together several methods, getting cheap Disney World packages isn't hard to do.
